Build a real tiered sponsorship program, see what it nets your club, and print the sell sheet you hand to local businesses. Tiered packages out-earn flat pricing by roughly 30%. This builds you the tiers.

This is your anchor. Most clubs sell one of these, or none. It exists so the $500 level reads like a bargain next to it. Leave it in even if nobody buys it.

How much should we charge sponsors?
Real high school programs run tiers in a narrow band. Community levels sit around $250 to $300. A fence banner for the season is commonly $450 to $500. Mid tiers land at $750 to $1,000, and anchor packages run $1,500 to $2,500, with title sponsorships up to $5,000. A well-run stadium signage program at a high school can generate $10,000 to $50,000 a year, and programs using tiered packages typically earn about 30% more than those charging a flat rate.
Why the expensive tier matters even if nobody buys it
The top tier is an anchor. Most local businesses will never buy a $2,500 package. But its presence on the page makes the $500 fence banner look like the sensible choice instead of the expensive one. Every well-built sponsorship packet does this. Leave the anchor in.
The part most clubs miss
Banners are a one-time cost and a recurring revenue. A banner you sell for $500 nets you roughly $450 in year one, and it goes back up next season at no additional cost. From year two on, a renewing sponsor is almost pure profit. That's what turns a fundraiser into a program.
Be specific, and name your tiers like a football team
"Logo placement" sells nothing. "A 3'x5' full-color banner on the home-side fence, facing the main gate, up from August through playoffs" sells. And the best packets skip Gold/Silver/Bronze for names that sound like your program: First Down, Touchdown, Playoff, Hall of Fame. It stops feeling like a donation and starts feeling like a partnership.
