Spirit Flags vs. Stadium Flags vs. Field Runners: Which Is Right for Your Team?

Three of our most popular products all put your team's colors on a flag, but they're built for very different jobs. Here's how to pick the right one.
Spirit Flags are the backbone of a spirit program. They're 3'x5', made of lightweight 100D polyester with grommets, and designed to be handed out by the dozen, to every player, every student, and every fan. Because they're printed in bulk, the minimum order is 50. If you're outfitting a whole student section or running a fundraiser where you expect to move a lot of flags, this is the one.
Stadium Flags are also 3'x5', but they're made of heavier 140gsm polyester (the same material as our Field Runners) and come in a rectangle or a classic pennant shape. You can order them with a pole sleeve to slide onto a pole or with grommets to attach to any standard flagpole. The big difference: they're printed individually, so the minimum order is just one. We hear "Is 50 the minimum?" all the time, for Stadium Flags, no. Order one, or order a hundred. And we never charge art or setup fees unless you need multiple different designs in the same order.
Field Runners are the long, flowing flags you see carried out ahead of the team at high school, college, and pro games. They come in 3'x5', 5'x7', 6'x10', and 8'x12', the 5'x7' is our best seller, with the 6'x10' close behind. You can get them single-ply (140gsm, with the graphic reading reversed on the back, just like the ones on TV) or double-ply (coated satin with a correct-reading back side). Pair them with our aircraft-aluminum Field Runner Poles and a carry bag for the complete game-day setup.
Quick rule of thumb: need 50 or more of a simple flag? Go Spirit. Want a single flag to fly on a pole or fence? Go Stadium. Want a showpiece to carry onto the field? Go Field Runner. Still not sure? Send us a note and we'll help you choose.
